B-SMARTT! stands for Biotechnology-driven – Smart, Market-oriented, ‘Additive Manufacturing’-based, R&D-supporting, Technological Transition!

The project aims to promote cross-sectoral collaboration between both technology-driven sectors in order to stimulate innovation, economic perspective and social impact. The project is therefore building a sustainable innovation platform, where knowledge about materials and technology is clustered and strengthened. Specific SMEs get access to the platform, where technological expertise and infrastructure is available in the field of materials, techniques and validation to realize feasible circular innovation projects. Subsequently, business expertise will be made available through an open business ecosystem, which will support entrepreneurs in formulating their circular innovation projects. The focus is on two types of innovation projects: material innovation from residual flows and market-oriented technological innovation for product development and specific solutions for production processes, resulting in tangible results.
