Job description

The current PhD project covers the interdisciplinary fields of chemistry, materials science, and engineering to develop light-responsive polymers for cosmetics applications. More specifically, crosslinkable polymers responsive to visible light will be applied in formulations to be applied on skin. The main focus of the proposed PhD research will be on polymer synthesis and characterization.

The project involves the following research groups:

Prof. Peter Bottenberg (ULB, Belgium)

Prof. Sandra Van Vlierberghe (Polymer Chemistry & Biomaterials Group, Ghent University, Krijgslaan 281, S4-Bis, 9000 Ghent, Belgium)

Profile of the candidate

Candidates should have a master’s degree before 01/2022. Candidates with a degree in chemistry or engineering and an interest in health science are encouraged to apply. In case of interest, please contact before 1st January 2022:
